Home Microdermabrasion - Oil of Olay Review

Wednesday 6 May 2009 @ 6:00 am

The Oil of Olay system was designed to be a truly user-friendly product that gives quick and effective results. The most important advantages of this Oil of Olay product are it is measured as one of most affordable and efficient products in its class. The cream and serum come in a pump bottle form that allows the consumer to apply small amounts at a time. Having packaging like this allows, after 1 to 2 sessions of this method, a result that makes sure the skin is smooth and shiny.

A differentiating factor that Oil of Olay has over other microdermabrasion systems is it has Amino Peptide complex. These are complexes that are shown to catalyze natural skin surface turnover. That is, the Oil of Olay system boosts the procedure by which your skin cells naturally proliferate; thus this replaces dead cells lost at the time of the exfoliating phase of process.

Amino Peptide Complex is comprised of pro-vitamin B5, Vitamin B3, allantoin, vitamin E, green tea extract, and a modified penta-peptide that has been proven to rouse collagen and elastin formation (that helps to make your skin look very young and smooth).

The Oil of Olay microdermabrasion system also comes with cream and Derma crystals that are used for the exfoliating phase of process. A second product is Amino Peptide Complex serum named the Peel Activator System that is combined with the moisturizing elements, helping skin to be very smooth.

Making use of this system can’t be any easier. There are 2 steps that should be followed. Firstly, the microdermabrasion cream and Derma crystals are applied to the face. Then the face is gently massaged for about 45 seconds; this makes sure that exfoliation of stratum corneum is taking place at maximal advantage to customer.

Home Microdermabrasion - Effective Exfoliation

Sunday 3 May 2009 @ 6:00 am

Effective Exfoliator

Microdermabrasion, as an in-office exfoliating treatment, can restore your skin glow, but it is given at a price — of about $900 for the recommended 6 sessions. It is only natural to wonder, though, can home microdermabrasion creams and kits do the job? For 2 weeks, our testers have used a variety of products on one half of the face.

After that Robyn Gmyrek, M.D., assistant clinical lecturer of dermatology at Columbia University, in NY City, compared the before and after results for about 6 products tested. At just $50, the BeautiControl Microdermabrasion Facial Buffering Creme (cream and buffer tool) boosted radiance and decreased an appearance of the large pores.

It depends on the skin type, and your expectations, as well as the price that you would like to pay. There are some kits that work well on dull skin but have nothing to do to combat fine-lines or else acne scars. In case you want something very cheap, then you may not get good results later on. In order to receive long lasting results, you may have to invest a little more on the products.

For instance, one of best kits that I have tried is named as Dermanew and costs less than $100, however it faded my acne scars and lines over the eyes. Also Youthful Essence by Lucci is as well a very good kit and it cost me around $40. I have tried ten different kits in four years. I am also having a professional and personal microdermabrasion. This kit will help you fade acne, acne scars and wrinkles and you will see the results within few days.

Home Microdermabrasion - Mary Kay Review

Thursday 30 April 2009 @ 6:00 am

Mary Kay's Microdermabrasion is priced at around $50.00 for a two piece set.  The first part is an actual microdermabrasion product, which is applied to a face that is damp in gentle small and circular motions.  The second part is a soothing serum, which completes this process and also conditions and comforts your skin.  I have as well used the serum on a razor burn with an good results, though Mary Kay hasn’t recommended this.

One of things that I like about this kit is that you only makes use of your finger-tips to apply the product.  This gives you control over how much pressure this product is applied with, not like products, which are applied with a 'wand', in attempt to look like microdermabrasion equipment that are used by the doctors.

I have sensitive skin, so I apply this product one time in a week, though Mary Kay says it can also be used up to three times per week, but not on consecutive days.  I have also found that it leaves my skin younger and fresher.  My skin is left noticeably smoother than before treatment.  I will willingly continue to apply this product. The Mary Kay microdermabrasion set is generally sold for about $55 and the product also claims to decrease fine-lines, refine pores, and promote very smooth skin immediately. Noticeable results are noticeable in a week.

Product Highlights
This Product helps to ex-foliate your skin by giving a radiant glow.
Many users have noticed healthy glow after one treatment.
With the Mary Kay Microdermabrasion, the outcome is equivalent to the spa treatment.

Though the Mary Kay set removes the dead skin, it doesn’t have the 'warming' outcome of Estee Lauder's Thermal product.
